Our Mission

Dharma Score is a cultural impact scoring engine built to recognize and elevate culture workers — particularly those from historically marginalized communities — by offering an unbiased, adaptable index that emphasizes impact over image.

What is a Dharma Score?

DHARMA stands for Dynamic Heuristic for Assessing Reach, Merit, and Achievement. It’s a score from 0 to 100 that captures the cultural impact of individuals in creative industries.

The system gathers publicly available data — news mentions, industry database listings, peer recognitions, creative works, community coverage — and uses AI to classify, analyze sentiment, and synthesize a transparent score across five dimensions.

Existing reputation tools emphasize image and follower counts. Dharma emphasizes impact — and absence of data reduces confidence in the score, not the score itself, so under-recognized creators are never penalized for having less online presence.

What We Stand For

1

Impact Over Image

We measure what matters — peer recognition, creative output, community presence, and industry footprint. Not follower counts. Not likes. Not algorithmic fame.

2

Transparency by Default

Every Dharma Score shows exactly which data sources contributed and how they were interpreted. No black boxes. No hidden weights. You can see the receipts.

3

Equity at the Core

We designed the system so that absence of data reduces confidence in the score, not the score itself. Under-recognized creators are not penalized for having less online presence.

4

Source Attribution Always

Every source is displayed. No source can be selectively excluded. The truth of your cultural impact is built from verifiable, public information.

5

Built for Culture Workers

Musicians, filmmakers, athletes, visual artists, writers, activists — the people who shape culture deserve a metric that reflects their real contribution, not just their social media game.

6

AI as a Research Partner

Our AI doesn't score you — it researches you. It scans news, databases, peer mentions, and creative works the way a thorough journalist would. Then it classifies, analyzes sentiment, and synthesizes. The methodology is open.
